What Should You Keep In Mind About The Sweet Hair After?- Part 1
What’s not hair today will be hair tomorrow as future hair-loss treatments promise. So read the whole article. It throws light on many factors contributing to hair loss.
All About Hair Loss
Is it always hair today, gone tomorrow, and hair again soon? Thanks to breakthroughs in hair-loss treatments it may be.
A revolution in biology is being watched. Including how to coin new treatments for hair loss, scientists are learning how to read the complex chemical languages of the body armed with powerful new tools.
Those new treatments aren’t nearly ready for primetime like the cure for cancer. But as George Cotsarelis, MD, director of the Hair and Scalp Clinic at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, promises they are coming.
Cotsarelis explains that there has been a boom in the understanding of hair loss in the last 5 to 7 years. At the level of basic research, they have made great strides. How can they convert these findings into clinical benefits is the question now? Taking decades are those kinds of leaps.
To grow new hair on bald heads will be a great leap. It isn’t that far away when considering smaller steps.
Why is it always thought about for a cure of baldness? It's time you looked around you. It usually happens when the normal process of hair growth gets disrupted as hair loss is extremely common.
What We Know About Hair
As Steve Allen states, it’s the head that’s fake whereas the hair is real.
Hair is easy to be taken for granted until it’s gone. The follicle is one of the most interesting organs of the body as a close look reveals. It is self-regenerating when it is the most unusual feature.
Living just below the top layer of the skin is hair follicles. Except fortunately on your lips, palms, and soles, you have them all over the body.
Where wildly growing matrix cells become hair, at the base of the follicle is the hair bulb.
The mysterious feature called the bulge is a little farther up the follicle.
Follicle stem cells live here. These self-renewing cells divide when they get the right set of chemical signals. It is observed that this division is not like normal cells where both halves become new cells that keep splitting as well as developing. Doing this is just one half of the follicle stem cell.
Staying put for the future the other half becomes a new stem cell.
Hair growth goes through several distinct stages:
Anagen.
This is the growth phase of hair. To do their thing an unknown signal tells follicle stem cells. Giving the go signal to hair matrix cells is the next permanent part of the follicle the dermal papilla. Creating a new hair shaft, those cells grow wildly and become pigmented. 90% of hair cells are in this stage at any given time.
Exogen.
Pushing the old, dead hair shaft out of the skin is the new hair shaft. Then the old hair is seen to be falling out. Here Anagen is finished. Keeping growing the new hair extends beyond the surface of the skin. Fully maturing is the hair shaft.
Catagen.
It is destroyed as the lower two-thirds of the follicle shrivels up. Remaining attached to the regressing follicle is the dermal papilla.
Telogen.
Finally, the withered follicle now rests. To start all over again, it waits for a signal telling that.
Part of a normal cycle of growth and replacement is losing hair. In a no synchronised fashion, hair follicles go through the growth and resting cycle. Whereas sometimes things do go wrong.
Common Hair Loss Problems: Androgenetic Alopecia
Thinking about aging men are most of us when we think of hair loss.
Also known as male pattern baldness, nearly all men eventually get the receding M-shaped hairline and thinning hair on the top of the head.
Caused by a by-product of testosterone called DHT, it is called androgenetic alopecia.
Having a similar problem is aging women. Although it’s not clear that this is necessarily caused by sex hormones, their hair gets thin.
More To Be Continued In The Next Part
This is just an introduction to the various types of hair loss problems observed among men and women. Here is what we have learned from long surveys and studies of people in the age group of 30- 40 years be it, men or women. They help the people get hold of the best treatments suited for you.
Go through the later parts of the article to identify the causes and precautions as well as cure for any type of hair loss.
