Your Skin And Your Hair

Affecting your hair type is sometimes the type of skin you have. You probably have dry hair if you have dry skin. For oily skin and oily hair, the same comes to be.

Many hair products do more harm than good while there is a tone of products on the market to help teens take better care of their skin and hair. For dry and oily hair, let’s look at some of the causes and treatments.

Dry Hair Care Tips

Feeling crunchy to the touch, dry hair looks brittle. Ranging from genetics which means if mom and dad have dry hair, then you will probably have it too to those hair treatments there are many causes of dry hair.

Causing dry hair is inactive oil glands. Consider washing your hair fewer times each week every two or three days if you have dry hair as a result of dry skin.
To make sure it replenishes your scalp with essential oils, also pay attention to the type of shampoo and conditioner you use. Hydrating and moisturising are the words to look for on hair care product labels.
Especially if you have dry hair, be sure to take care of heat and chemicals.

Causing serious hair damage are electric hair straighteners and popular curling irons. Hairdryers can damage hair too when used on high heat.

Helping keep your hair healthier is by decreasing your use of these hot devices or at least using a less hot setting.

Think about your hair the way you think about your skin if you are not sure whether an appliance will damage your hair. Every morning would you blast your face with 1875 watts of hot air. The answer is probably not!

Stripping the hair of vital oils are harsh chemicals in hair colour, permanents, and relaxers. More than others, some hair dyes contain fewer harsh chemicals. As they can make your hair brittle and cause split ends, watch out for bleaches and peroxides.

Be extra careful in the summer shine finally. Causing dry hair is both sunshine and chlorine. Your skin will also thank you as the easiest solution is to wear a hat or simply avoid getting too much of the sun.

By wearing a swim cap when you go into the pool, you can also protect your hair. Before heading to the beach or pool, another option is to saturate your hair with conditioner. Wash your hair in freshwater after swimming if you swim in a chlorinated pool. Consider using a shampoo designed to remove chlorine from hair if you swim frequently.

Oily Hair Care Tips

Are you troubled with your oily hair? As your hair already appears to need another wash, you may find yourself frustrated by the time evening rolls around, if you wash your hair in the morning.

Oily hair is an oily scalp and so keep in mind. Lathering twice if you need to, wash your scalp and hair as needed. For at least five minutes before rinsing, you might try leaving the shampoo on your head. Remember to condition the hair on the ends only. Directly on your scalp do not place conditioner. As the brush brings oil from the scalp to the ends of your hair, avoid brushing your hair too often.

Dabbing a bit of talcum powder to the roots of your hair is an oily-hair “quick-fix”

Ask your hairstylist what they recommend for oily hair also. That which adds shine to the hair, stay away from any product. To your already saturated locks, it will only add more oil.

What About Hair Extensions?

You might be considering hair extensions if you are looking for a long hairstyle quickly. With extensions, Jessica Simpson and Tyra Banks are known for creating long hairstyles in the blink of an eye.

With advice from a professional follow this trend only with caution. Very close to the scalp, the most realistic extensions are braided into your real hair. Sealed with a heated solution they are painted with a bonding material.

Sometimes causing hair to fall out, the weight of extensions can pull on your natural hair. Quite expensive can be these extensions. Found in beauty supply stores or on the internet, there are safer, inexpensive alternatives such as extension clips.
